About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Medicine Consultant to join accredited Emergency Departments across Australia. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical leadership, deliver advanced emergency care, and contribute to the continuous improvement of emergency medical services within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency care including assessment, diagnosis, resuscitation, stabilisation, and management of critically ill and injured patients.
- Lead clinical decision-making and oversee high-acuity and complex cases in the Emergency Department.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior doctors, registrars, medical officers, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in departmental audits, mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to education, training, and professional development programs for medical staff.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to enhance emergency department systems, workflow, and patient outcomes.
- Participate in on-call or rotational rosters as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent primary medical degree.
- FACEM, MRCEM, CCT , CCST, CESR
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-pressure, fast-paced clinical environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
