BOLOGNA HEALTH JOBS-HSE IRELAND
Two HSE referral hospitals in southwest and northwest Ireland are seeking two consultants in haematology (clinical and laboratory).
This position represents an excellent opportunity to work in one of the EU's most prosperous countries, where significant investment is made in public healthcare, with stable, long-term contracts. The hospital needs to expand its service and is therefore looking to add another hematologist to the department. The department is generally organized as follows:
• 4 weekly consultations in:
Malignant Haematology
General Haematology
General Haematology
General Haematology
• Fridays: Consultations
• Inpatient consultations
Laboratory management will also be involved.
- Benefits:
• Initial 12-month contract with the possibility of renewal and subsequent permanent contract.
• Approximate net monthly salary of €10,000-€12,000 (new Collective Bargaining Agreement 2023 - new salary scale February 26) - €238.5-€286.5K gross annual salary + on-call shifts), after tax and social security contributions. Salary will depend on experience in university hospitals.
• 30 working days of annual leave for hematologists, plus public holidays (10 per year). 40 days per year in total.
Up to €12,000 for study funding (Master's degree, etc.).
• Up to €8,000 annually for innovation projects.
• Includes an attractive pension plan.
Requirements:
1. You must be a haematology specialist in a European Union country to apply as a consultant. Registration in the IMC Specialist Registry is required; we will assist you with the process if you are not already registered. Please note that the process may take 4-5 months.
2. Advanced level of English (C1), both spoken and written.
3. Strong motivation to work as a physician in Ireland as soon as possible.
4. Extensive knowledge of clinical and laboratory haematology.
5. Experience with blood cancers, including AML, multiple myeloma, MDS, MPN, and multiple myeloma, will be considered an asset.
