Dentist
Job Description

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a qualified Dentist to join our medical team aboard our fleet of world-class cruise ships. You will provide comprehensive dental care to guests and crew, manage dental emergencies at sea, and contribute to overall health and wellness on board. This is a dynamic, patient-centered role in a multicultural, maritime environment.

What you’ll do

  • Provide routine and urgent dental care in the ship’s dental clinic: exams, diagnoses, treatment planning, restorative procedures (fillings, crowns), extractions, endodontic therapy, prophylaxis, sealants, fluoride, radiographs, and preventive care.
  • Manage dental emergencies on board: pain control, stabilization, triage, coordination with port-based facilities, and handover to shore-based specialists as needed.
  • Implement infection control, sterilization, and instrument processing; maintain clinic inventory and equipment.
  • Maintain secure and confidential patient records; ensure privacy and compliance with data protection.
  • Educate guests and crew on oral health, preventive care, and post-treatment care; deliver health talks as needed.
  • Collaborate with the medical team, hotel operations, and crew to integrate dental care with wellness programs and safety drills.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime health regulations and shipboard policies; contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited program; valid dental license to practice in your country or jurisdiction.
  • Current CPR/BLS; ACLS or PALS desirable.
  • Experience in general dentistry; comfort performing a broad range of procedures; ability to work in a resource-limited environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with guests and crew from diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to relocate to shipboard duties for extended periods; travel itineraries as required.
  • Language: English required; additional languages are advantageous.
Physical ability to perform dental procedures in a maritime environment and pass medical clearance.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and shipboard accommodations with meals
  • Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, travel benefits, and paid leave
  • Training and development opportunities, including maritime-related dental education
  • A unique global workplace with a diverse team and guests
  • Career progression across Royal Caribbean Group brands
