ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The doctor will be working in one of the regional health centres. It is a very well-run health centre owned by the municipality and both doctors and nurses are employees of the municipality.

The county is in the middle of some of the most spectacular nature Norway can offer, but still only 40 minutes away from Ålesund, a larger Norwegian city with an international Airport. It is a vibrant municipality in Norway, teeming with natural beauty and a rich history. Nestled in Møre og Romsdal county, it serves as a picturesque canvas that blends rugged mountains, serene fjords, and lively coastal communities. Known for its islands, connected to the mainland by modern marvels of bridges and tunnels, it offers a unique blend of nature and engineering. You can do nature sports and/or visit local museums in Haram.

Main responsibilities and expectations

• You will be the first contact for patients from the districts. And the follow-up doctor for patients who are recovering after operations and other treatments in the regional hospitals.
• Your daily work will be diagnostics, referral to other specialists, and collaborations with other doctors and mental care departments of the municipality.

What’s expected of you

• To have medical and specialist titles issued or recognized by the European Union.
• To be a team player who can be a part of the re-structuring and increased importance of the health centre.
• To be able to complete the intensive Norwegian language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.
• There are some but very few guard duties related to the position.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen.
