Job Description

Our client is the local council, responsible for managing a PRIMARY CARE HEALTH CENTER which opened in 2025. The facility has a total of 13 offices, shared between 5 family doctors, 6 nurses, 2 psychologists, 1 nutritionist, 1 podiatrist, 1 speech therapist, 1 optometrist and 1 midwife. The health centre is located in a village of 3,550 inhabitants, serving a large geographical area to the south of the department to which it belongs and to the north of the neighbouring department. 
The village has pre-school and primary schools, a regional train and bus station and is located 150 km from Marseille and 200 km from Nice, both of which have airports with regular direct flights to Portugal.

Type of contract offered: 
Private practice in own surgery. Permanent contract.
All private practice in France is covered by Social Security.

Location: Paca, Hautes Alpes Department (05)

Activity: In the context of the opening of the Maison de Santé and following the retirement of one of the village doctors, our client is looking to recruit family doctors. The doctors to be recruited will join the Maison de Santé, which has a secretarial service and an it's equipped with a secretarial service and an emergency room shared by all doctors in the facility. In terms of the type of activity, the doctor will focus on consultations for patients of all ages, multiple pathologies, chronic and acute pathologies, home visits, consultations in senior residences, and it is also possible to work in minor emergencies. 


20 to 30 consultations per day 
Emergencies and Preventive Care: To be shared with other colleagues on a 1 weekend/4 weekdays basis, weekday nights from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Offered Conditions: 
Strong potential for activity – €150,000 to €220,000 gross/year. 
Significant start-up assistance, as it is a rural revitalisation area
- Total income tax exemption for the first 5 years of activity and partial exemption for the following 3 years (6th year pays income tax on 25% of net income, 7th year on 50% and 8th year on 75%) 
FREE assistance with the registration process with the French Medical Association. 

Complete freedom in setting working hours, working periods, consultation times and types of activity within the MGF.
Freedom to choose whether to participate in emergencies and preventive care.
Autonomy to manage absences, holidays, etc.
Income proportional to the work performed.

Application Requirements:
Doctor with a degree in Medicine and a specialisation in General Practice, completed in the EU. EU Citizenship. Solid knowledge of French (already acquired or currently learning) or willingness to learn the language.
Seriousness and commitment to the process.
