The clinic provides good, safe and accessible care with high medical competence in preventive women's healthcare during pregnancy, childbirth, gynaecological disease and young people's reproductive health. The Women's Clinic has emergency services with deliveries around the clock, welcoming about 1250 children into the world every year. Its main tasks are public health, healthcare and dental care, regional development and growth. It is the largest employer in the county, with about 10,000 employees in hundreds of professions. The hospital offers a pleasant and cooperative environment with breadth in its operations and good results both medically and in terms of accessibility. Quality and cooperation are keywords. Approximately 1600 employees are working at the hospital, serving a population of around 115,000. The hospital is accustomed to receiving doctors with foreign education. Main responsibilities and expectations

  • You will join the women's clinic. The clinic's operations include general gynaecology, infertility, urogynecology, dysplasia, oncology, ultrasound, women's health/youth clinics, obstetrics, and specialist maternity care.
  • You will have the opportunity to work independently in the subject areas while also developing work areas and participating in process work.
  • You will be able to work with varied tasks as a specialist physician in obstetrics and gynaecology at the women's clinic.
  • The clinic places great emphasis on improvement work, and you will have the chance to collaborate with other clinics in the region and the women's clinic in Linköping.
  • The position also includes supervision of colleagues, medical students, and visiting district physicians.

What's expected of you

  • To have a gynaecology and obstetrics specialist title issued or recognized by the European Union.
  • To have medical expertise in the entire field of gynaecology as well as obstetrics.
  • To have a valid driver's license.
  • To show interest in teamwork and be willing to contribute to the clinic's development.  
  • To be considered for this role, it is important to enjoy working in a team, to be calm and stable with the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations even in stressful or demanding situations. As no two workdays are alike, it is essential to be comfortable in rapidly changing circumstances and to have the ability to plan and structure your work while considering the best interests of the operation.
  • To be able to complete the intensive Swedish language course as part of the MediCarrera program.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen or have an EU Long-term residence permit.

In case you are not an EU citizen:

* Your diploma has to be homologated in one of the EU countries.

* You need to have at least 2-3 years of experience in one of the EU countries after the title homologation.

* Long term residency from an EU country.
