Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to enhance quality of life
• Support residents with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care
• Promote independence, dignity, and social inclusion
• Administer medications and treatments in line with best practices
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and mental well-being
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and healthcare regulations

Requirements:

• Registered with NMBI (or eligible for registration) in the Intellectual Disability Division
• Degree or Diploma in Intellectual Disability Nursing (or equivalent)
• Experience in disability services, residential care, or community settings (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A compassionate, person-centered approach to care
