Job Description

The pediatric unit has two orthoptists who work closely with the pediatric ophthalmologist and manage some patients independently. There is also the possibility to operate on children under general anesthesia, for example for strabismus.

Your main tasks:

Diagnosis and treatment of mixed ophthalmological patients
Participation in surgical care and follow-ups
Performing ROP screening with RetCam
Supervision of residents (ST doctors) and junior doctors
The role includes on-call duty during evenings and weekends.

You will be part of a team with a supportive working environment where we help each other and develop together. There is also an opportunity to specialize further depending on competence and departmental needs.

Requirements:

Pediatric ophthalmologist.

Standard ophthalmology specialist experience.

Focus on pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus surgery in both children and adults.

Good teamwork skills, openness to change, and patient-centered attitude.

Involvement in supervision in the long term, including working with resident doctors.
