Main responsibilities and expectations
Sahlgrenska University Hospital is seeking ophthalmologists specializing in pediatric ophthalmology. The position offers extensive educational opportunities through courses beyond the standard training program.

In pediatric ophthalmology, the department provides nationally specialized care for childhood glaucoma and pediatric cataract and has its own diagnostic unit for electrophysiology. There are also opportunities to work across different subspecialties and excellent possibilities for research.
What’s expected of you
A medical degree and specialist title in ophthalmology issued or recognized by the European Union.
A few years of work experience in pediatric ophthalmology and strong theoretical knowledge in the field.
Competence in strabismus surgery is considered an advantage.
Active involvement in research or LEAN management is considered a merit.
Good computer skills.
Ability to complete an intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.
