Job Description

On behalf of a hospital in Buskerud, Norway, we are looking for a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.
You will join a dedicated and highly skilled medical team focusing on women’s health and gynecological surgery in a well-equipped and supportive hospital environment.

About the position:

The department offers a wide range of services within gynecology and obstetrics, including a delivery ward with around 350 births per year and an active surgical unit. You will take part in both clinical work and teaching, and have the opportunity to develop your skills within various gynecological procedures and modern diagnostic methods.

The position includes work in the outpatient clinic, participation in ward rounds, surgery, and follow-up of patients in the maternity ward. Collaboration across departments and professions is highly valued, ensuring safe and efficient patient care.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds a medical license and specialty certification in obstetrics and gynecology from an EU/EEA country
• Has broad experience in obstetrics and gynecological procedures
• Is proficient in English and motivated to learn Norwegian (a free language course is provided)
• Enjoys teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Is structured, reliable, and has a genuine interest in women’s health and patient care
