Job Description
Li-reco is looking for an experienced specialist physician/consultant in gastroenterology and hepatology for a permanent position at a major university hospital in Sweden.
This position suits you who have a particular interest and high competence in hepatology and who wish to work in a highly specialized environment with great opportunities for professional development, research, and teaching
About the position:
You will become part of a specialist department in gastroenterology and hepatology with approximately 15 specialist physicians. The department has a large patient base and close collaboration with areas such as transplant surgery.
The work involves assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients requiring specialized hepatological care, both acute and planned. You will work in both outpatient and inpatient care and have close collaboration with the liver transplant unit.
The position includes, among other things:
- assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with liver diseases
- specialized hepatological outpatient and inpatient care
- collaboration with the liver transplant unit
- supervision and teaching of junior colleagues, medical students, and other healthcare personnel
- participation in the department's quality, development, and change management efforts
- opportunity to participate in clinical research and development projects
- on-call duty may be relevant and will be negotiated individually
About you as the applicant:
We are looking for a specialist in medical gastroenterology and hepatology with high competence and clinical experience in hepatology. You are confident in independent medical assessments and enjoy working with other professions and specialist areas.
Education and specialist training needs to be from an Eu country!
Good communication and collaboration skills are important, as is an interest in continued professional development.
Previous experience in liver transplantation is a clear merit but not an absolute requirement.
Ongoing research and/or a doctoral degree are meritorious. Great importance will also be placed on personal suitability.
Research and Development
The department has a strong academic environment with good opportunities to combine clinical work with research. There is no generally allocated research time or research budget linked to the position, but there are good opportunities to participate in funded research projects or conduct research with your own external research grants.
Employment and Conditions:
The position is a permanent employment.
For an experienced specialist/consultant, the current salary range is approximately 85,000–100,000 SEK per month, depending on experience and competence. Individual salary setting is based on experience and competence.
The number of vacation days:
25 days up to and including 39 years of age, 31 days from 40 years of age, 32 days from 50 years of age until retirement.
Start date is by agreement.
