Position: Children Nurse / General nurse with Paediatric experience

Location: Ireland

Shifts: Night & Day Shifts

Pay rates: €24.15–€32.00 per hour

FRS Recruitment in partnership with Bluebird Care Ireland are looking for Nurses to care for children with complex care needs at home across various locations in Ireland. This is one-to-one nursing in a family home, with the same child on every shift. Urgent start.

Responsibilities:

Care provided varies from child to child and can include:

• Tracheostomy care and complex airway management
  Nebuliser management
  Medication and pain management
  Caring for a child with an intellectual disability
• Working hours: Full-time or part-time positions available
• A shift pattern worked out around your life and routine
• One patient, not a ward, and the same child on every shift
  Continuity. You get to know the child and the family properly
• A Clinical Nurse Manager at the end of the phone on every shift
• Ongoing support and supervision from the paediatric nursing team
• Full clinical training and induction before your first shift
• Cases across South County Dublin, so we can match you to a child close to where you live
• Training in tracheostomy care, epilepsy and PEG feeding.

Essensial Requirements

• 3rd level Nursing qualification:
  • Registered Children's Nurse
  • Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability
  • Registered General Nurse with with paediatric experience
     
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, including working with children
• Active NMBI (Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland) registration, or a Decision letter holder, or last stages of application process will also be considered. 
• Very good to fluent English language
• Full driving licence
• Caring personality
• Confident to work alone and Comfortable working alone in a family home, including overnight
