Job Description

Region Gävleborg is looking for six licensed midwives to join its maternity and women's health services in Hudiksvall, Gävle and Bollnäs!

The services cover pregnancy care, birth and postnatal care, as well as gynaecology, across three locations in Gävleborg. Every year, the teams care for around 2,000 pregnant women during
pregnancy and support around 2,100 births.
Midwives work closely with doctors, nurses and assistant nurses in caring, hands-on teams, always keeping the mother and baby's needs at the centre of care.
Depending on location, the role includes pregnancy check-ups, cervical screening, and care during labour, birth and the postnatal period, with some rotation between wards and clinics.
The department works closely with neonatal care to keep parents and babies together as much as possible, and is planning new, modern facilities in both Hudiksvall and Gävle to bring pregnancy,
birth and newborn care even closer together.

Requirements

A valid licence as a midwife.
For labour and delivery roles, at least two years' experience in that area.
A responsible, flexible team player who cares about person- centred care.
