ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The department has a fantastic collaboration between all professional groups and a well-functioning and supportive working environment. They handle both acute and elective examinations and offer a variety of work between different modalities. The department is currently undergoing renovations, including the replacement of machinery, to provide state-of-the-art facilities for its employees and patients. The catchment area for Radiology is approximately 39,000 and they employ a total of 13 radiographers, 5 temporary radiographers, 9 assistant nurses, 1 nurse, 1 specialist physician, 2 senior consultants.

The region is situated in central Sweden by the Baltic coast. It offers good access to Stockholm (90 minutes by train) and other parts of the country. 

Main responsibilities and expectations

  • At the radiology department, you will work alongside nurses, radiologists, and physicists. The team handles urgent and planned examinations using the latest technology, including a computer tomograph, magnetic resonance imaging machine, ultrasound equipment, and skeletal radiology tools.
  • The department's collaborations with various healthcare providers, including primary care units, inpatient facilities, emergency departments, and private healthcare providers, ensure that you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Additionally, close working relationships with other radiology departments within the county provide opportunities for growth and development.
  • You will be part of a well-functioning department with a fantastic collaboration between all professional groups, providing you with a good working environment. The department handles acute and elective examinations, allowing you to vary your work between different modalities, including computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, and skeletal radiology.

What's expected of you

  • To have the Radiographer title issued or recognized by the European Union.
  • To show interest in teamwork and be willing to contribute to the clinic's development.  
  • No prior clinical experience is necessary for radiographers, as they will undergo an introduction period of approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on their previous experience.
  • To be able to complete the intensive Swedish language course as part of the MediCarrera program.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen or have an EU Long-term residence permit.

In case you are not an EU citizen:

* Your diploma has to be homologated in one of the EU countries.

* You need to have at least 2-3 years of experience in one of the EU countries after the title homologation.

* Long term residency from an EU country.
